DIY Copper and Coral Napkin Rings
Hello, hello! We are wrapping up our last week of school here in Okinawa and settling in for the hot, humid, and typhoon season. Yep, it get’s real around here. It’s Kathy from Up to Date Interiors and I’m back to share a fun Summer DIY that costs under $5 – DIY Copper and Coral Napkin Rings!
For this project you only need a few supplies:
Copper Wire in two sizes (18 gauge and 12 or finer)
Beach finds (coral, sea glass, driftwood, seashells)
Wire cutters and a napkin ring
Shape the thicker wire around a napkin ring (or other round object) until you have 4-5 coils.
Use wire cutters to get a smooth-flat cut. (If you use another tool to cut you may need to sand down sharp edges.)
Attach a piece of coral (or other beachy object!) with thinner copper wire by wrapping the coral to the copper coil. Twist and wrap the ends. Use a dot of hot glue to help hold the ends of the coral into place.
Use natural and ocean inspired colors for your table setting to compliment your new napkin rings!
If you want to customize your table setting even more, pick out a fun corresponding fabric at the craft store and make simple, no-sew napkins. You can find the tutorial HERE.
Thanks for having me today!
