How adorable would these planters be all lined up in your kitchen window? The best part is that they are super quick to make and don’t cost much to make either. Let’s get started shall we?

The Supplies:

  • Glass Dishes (I purchased these at Ikea)
  • Acrylic multi surface paint
  • Paint Brushes
  • Succulents
  • half dirt, half sand potting mix

Now that you have your supplies you will begin by cleaning your glasses with alcohol and letting them dry. Then paint on your first coat of paint. Red for strawberries, orange for carrots, yellow for a pineapple, and peach and light pink for a peach. Feel free to try your hand at other fruits and veggies too!

Once your first coat has dried, go ahead and paint your second coat of paint on and let dry. Now its time for the final touches to make each planter resemble the fruit or veggie. Use white paint to make a diagonal crosshatch for the pineapple, light yellow dots for the strawberry seeds, and thin black lines for the carrot.

Let dry then simply fill with your potting soil mix and succulents of choice. I tried to pick succulents that would mimic the tops of the real fruits for a more realistic look. I also love the variation of the different succulents for each fruit/veggie.
