My boys books came for this year! I love giving them a book each year that has pictures of them throughout the year but that also says nice things about them that will help build them up and help them feel loved.
This year the theme was “Mommy’s wishes for you.” I wrote all about what I wish for them as a person. I focused mostly on characteristics they have that I want them to develop and in a few cases I wrote about things I think they might struggle a little bit with. I hope that in reading about it in such a positive way it might lead to them to learn and develop it because they believe it about themselves. Next year I will have John do the same thing so that they can have Daddy’s wishes for them.
Normally I do all the graphic design myself but this year there just wasn’t time. I used one of Snapfish’s premade insides. On Cyber Monday everything was 55% off on Snapfish so even though I added pages to each book I only spent $63 for all 3 books. I think $21 a piece is a great price when you are looking at building self esteem in your child!
I did a custom cover in photoshop and I also did a collage in the back like I have in years past.
I decided this year instead of giving them to them on Christmas Day, this will be a Christmas Eve present from Mom and Dad. I wrapped them up just like our 25 days of Christmas books but instead of stamping a number, I stamped the letter of their name.
They look at home with the rest of the books!
Its so fun that they are building a library of positive books just about them! You can check out our other self esteem books here.
