Yesterday I shared the coral, teal, and gold tween room redo. For her craft area we found this great organizer but I wanted to give it more character.
It was so much easier than I thought! First we taped off the drawers.
Because these were laminate we had to prime them with some primer to make sure the paint would stick. Then we mixed the paint.
The best way to do this is to use 1 main color and white. Here is a good way to get started mixing 6 colors:
1- 6 Tbsp coral
2- 5 Tbsp coral / 1 Tbsp white
3- 4 Tbsp coral / 2 Tbsp white
4- 3 Tbsp coral / 3 Tbsp white
5- 2 Tbsp coral / 4 Tbsp white
6- 1 Tbsp coral /5 Tbsp white
You can add more if you have a bigger area. After we mixed the colors we had to adjust it a little bit but this at least gives you a good place to start.
It is best to roll it on with a foam mini roller so that you get a nice smooth finish.
It really gives it a fun look and effect!
