Easy Paper Plate Candy Decor
When my sister told me about this super cheap, easy and cute decor, I knew I needed to share. A couple of her friends made some of these for a party last year. Really, it’s genius! You could use this idea for several holidays/season and just adapt the design, by changing out the plates!
My sister, Jamie, wanted to decorate her stair railing for V-Day, so I headed over there and we got busy!
Here’s what you need:
Clear Cellophane Roll
Cute, Colorful, Patterned Paper Plates (examples HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE)
Ribbon(s) (You could use all one ribbon or several ribbon choices. They just need to match your plate colors)

We ended up using ribbon with the “candy pieces” to create a really simple garland. It turned out fun! Jamie is going to add our Be Mine Bunting at the top railing below the garland! I think it will finish off the railing perfect!
It all turned out really fun and I am totally going to be making some more for our Valentine’s Day Party! So fun! Below, is a little closer look!
At the top and the bottom of the railing there is a bouquet of “Suckers.” To make a “Candy Sucker” you just take a paint stick, paint it silver (or whatever color you want), and attach the paint stick to the back of the paper plate. We chose to make bouquets with them, but it would also be really cute to put them in a vase!
You don’t have to use the paper plates for a garland. These would make for super easy decor for a Valentine’s Day party. you could tape them to the wall individually… There are really endless possibilities with this concept!
