This is the last of the Cricut Design Space Star Challenges!
Did you hear me! You can use your Cricut to make your own stamps! All you need is Foam Sheets to cut your design in. Make sure you put it on the mat with the adhesive side on the mat.
First create your design in the Design Space. Since I was making tags for my boys Christmas presents I used the first letter of their name. After you have it ready to be cut you have to make sure to click the mirror image option. Since you are stamping it, it has to be printed in reverse.
The Cricut makes it so easy to cut. Just set the dial to “custom” and then in the drop down menu on the computer you choose craft foam.
Then it does all the hard work for you and cuts it out! The rollers do press into the foam but it didn’t mess up my stamp. Next you need to cut your tags. Find a tag in the design space and create it a little bigger then your stamp image.
Cut them out on cardstock.
I wanted to back them with a second cute patterned paper. So I once again made the tag a little bigger in the design space and then cut the tag onto patterned paper.
I glued the two together and punched a hole that matched through both tags and added the twine.
Then it was stamping time. Take your cut craft foam and peal the design off. The back edges were not perfect but it doesn’t matter because that part is not part of the stamp.
I had a Stamp Block that I used to put my stamp on. If you don’t have one you can use a piece of wood or anything else that is hard to stick your new stamp to.
Then stamp it on the ink and then straight onto the tag.
