When I took all of my Christmas decor down my house was a blank slate which was very exciting!  Unfortunately with Christmas just passing my budget was ZERO! But thanks to my winter Pinterest board I had so much fun redecorating my house this week! Here is our mantle all finished!

The bottles were inspired by Cleverly Inspired. All you do is spray paint bottles white and then use Epsom Salt and Tacky Sprayto give the effect of snow on the bottles. I sprayed the branches with Glitter Spray I had on hand to make the branches sparkle. I also added just a touch of the Epson salt to the branches to make it look like there was snow on them too.

I found the lantern at a Thrift store in Las Vegas. I might have normally passed it up, but this last week my friend and I took all 9 of our kids (what were we thinking!) to the Jacob Hamblin house. In his house there was a lantern just like this one, and the guide explained that each family had a design they would punch into the metal. That way when people were approaching at night you could tell from far away who was coming by the light that shined from their lantern. I though that was so cool and was so excited when I found one for $1.50!

This next idea came from Blue Velvet Chair. I will be making a bigger one for outside but this is my smaller scale version for inside.

I added a little of the glitter spray to the logs and then added some of the Epsom salt around the tea lights. It looks so cozy and romantic when its all lit up at night!

For the top my bookshelf I wanted something very simple.

I need some more pine cones for inside my bird cage and then it will be complete. After Christmas I am loving very simple decor! I had seen a print like this one on Pinterest but couldn’t find the source so I made my own.

    >I think I may have seen the same printable you saw on Pinterest where it was a broken link. Thought I'd pass the link to the download along.
