  • 8 slices bread preferably a thicker bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp butter melted

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • Take a 9x13 baking pan and either grease it or line it with parchment paper. I prefer to just grease mine.
  • In a mixing bowl combine and whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla and salt.
  • Next, take the sugar and cinnamon and mix them up in a small bowl. You could also just use a cinnamon and sugar shaker if you have that!
  • Take your bread and cut it into 3 pieces each.
  • Dip each portion into egg mixture then allow the extra egg mixture to run off the stick and transfer to the baking sheet. They don't need a lot of space between them, so feel free to really pack the baking sheet full of them.
  • Baste the top of the the sticks with the melted butter and then sprinkle the tops with the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  • Baked for 13-15 minutes then take them out and turn them over.
  • Baste the tops with the melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  • Bake for another 13-15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  • Take out and allow to cool for a few minutes and serve with maple syrup!
