Hawaiian Haystacks

Creamy chicken sauce served over rice and loaded with delicious toppings!

  • Rice
  • butter
  • garlic
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 1 pint half and half
  • shredded chicken
  • salt
  • Cheese
  • Tomatoes
  • Green Onions
  • Pineapple
  • Mandarin Oranges
  • Celery
  • Almonds
  • Coconut
  • Chow mien noodles


  • Start rice cooking. For the sauce melt the butter with the garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add flour and make a paste. Slowly stir in half and half. You can use milk, the sauce just won’t be as creamy. Add can of coconut milk, shredded chicken, and salt and bring to boil.
  • Serve the sauce over rice with toppings: Cheese, Tomatoes, Green Onions, Pineapple, Mandarin Oranges, Celery, Almonds, Coconut, Chow mien noodles
