Torte Layered Dessert

Nutty Torte is a delicious layered dessert. The nut based crust, cream cheese layer, pudding layer and cool whip topping come together to create the perfect dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 8 tbsp Butter Salted
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2/3 cup Walnuts Finely Chopped
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened
  • 13 oz Cool Whip
  • 2 boxes any flavor Instant Pudding I use 1 small chocolate and 1 large vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 3/4 cup Milk

Instructions

  • 1st Layer: Mix together: 1 cup flour, 1 stick butter, 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts. Press into a greased 9x13 pan; Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool fully. If you need to speed up the cooling process, feel free to put it in the fridge.
  • 2nd Layer: Mix well and spread over 1st layer; 8 oz cream cheese (softened), 1 1/2 cups powered sugar and 1/2 container of Cool Whip.
  • 3rd Layer: Mix the 2 boxes of instant pudding with 2 3/4 cups of milk. Mix with a whisk until thickened and immediately pour over the 2nd layer. Do not refrigerate the pudding in the fridge until solid prior to pouring over the 2nd layer.
  • 4th Layer: Top with remaining Cool Whip and sprinkle the remaining 1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts on the top! Refrigerate until ready to serve!
