Printing the Game: Print enough sets for each player. Each player should have their own set of category cards and answer cards for the game.Instruction Page: This page contains detailed instructions on how to play the game. It also includes letter tiles that you'll use during the game. You only need to print one set of the tiles, as the letter chosen, will apply to everyone.Category Cards: There are 2 football-themed category cards included. These cards list the categories that each player will use to come up with answers.Answer Cards: Accompanying the category cards are 2 answer cards. Players will use these to record their answers for each category.
HOW TO PLAY:
Prepare the Letters: Cut out the letters from the instruction sheet and put them in a hat or bowl. Close your eyes and pick one letter (or have someone else pick a letter).
Set the Timer: Use a timer and set it for 3 minutes. If playing with younger kids, you might want to give a bit more time.
Start Writing: Look at the Football categories card. Write down words that start with the letter you picked. Each person plays alone, trying to think of different words for each category. I've provided cards for two rounds, but you can play more by choosing new letters each time.
Keep Moving: If you can’t think of a word for a category, skip it and come back later if there’s time.
Be Unique: Try to think of special or less common words. For example, if the letter is “S,” and the category is “Football Foods,” you might write “Spinach Dip” instead of “Sausages” because it’s a bit different.
Compare Answers: When the time is up, everyone shares their words. If two people have the same word, they both cross it off. The winner is the person with the most unique words.
