3 Ingredient Old Fashioned Hot Chocolate

I love hot chocolate. While I lived in Romania we didn’t have access to hot cocoa mix. But it was cold and so we learned to make it on our own with only 3 simple ingredients.

• Cocoa
• Sugar
• Milk

Those 3 ingredients right there make the best hot cocoa ever! I love how pure and simple it is.

To make the mix you combine 2 parts sugar to 1 part cocoa. I usually mix 3 cups sugar with 1  ½ cups cocoa in a Tupperware and mix it good.

Then I put it in my nice cute hot cocoa container.

To make the cocoa you use 2 Tbsp. for every 1 cup of milk. I usually make mine on the stove but you can do it in the microwave. Make sure if you are doing it on the stove that you stir it regularly and don’t let it scald.

It is so creamy and perfect.

The best part is you can take this basic cocoa mix and turn it into all sorts of fun flavors with coffee creamers and also plain simple ice cream toppings.
