It’s time for the next Cricut Design Space Star Challenge!
The theme this month was gold Holiday decor! I love to do a Thankful Tree each year for our family. This year I wanted to do one that was a bit more elegant than our past trees.
Plus, it was the easiest tree I’ve ever done! I found a dead branch on the side of the road and spray painted it gold. I also spray painted some Christmas hooks to use as the hangers. To secure my branch in a small vase I added salt around the branch. I wanted to it be very simple but still secure.
The leaves were the easiest part using my Cricut Explore machine. I used different natural colored card stocks and using the Design Space I cut different leaf shapes on the different shades of paper.
I love the way it turned out. During November we will use a gold Sharpie and write something we are grateful for on the leaves.
Hopefully it will keep us focused on the real meaning of Thanksgiving and double as beautiful decor!

Crazy Little Projects Did you also know that the Cricut Explore now has Print then Cut technology. This opens up so many possibilities and I am so excited! This means you can print an image and then your Cricut will cut it for you! Brilliant!
