Happy Friday friends! Today I am sharing a fun gift idea for you to give this Christmas – a Redbox Neighbor Gift! I love this idea so much, because it’s simple, easy and EVERYONE will love it! Plus, it’s useful! What family doesn’t love movie nights? I am offering 3 different designs in this post, plus I’ve got another design in this 2nd Redbox Printable Gift Idea post! With all the options, you should have no problem finding one that you like!
Hey friends! I’m so excited to share with you guys our back to school haul that we scored last week at Kohl’s (one of my favorite stores)! And I also have put together a super fun Smart Cookie Back to School Idea + Gift Tag that I have the tutorial to share with you! The Back to School season is one of my favorite times of the year! I LOVE getting organized after a long summer of swimming, playing and attempting to work! haha! All my kids (and me) seem to thrive on routine, so we are all anxious to have school back in!
Hey friends! Today I’ve got a fun gift idea for you – a Kitchen Essentials Wedding Gift in a Jar! I love giving gifts – especially as I’m getting a little older and you realize that it’s the simple things that bring joy – like a new yummy smelling room refresher or new amazing sponge that can clean like a beast! I was cleaning the other day and decided it would be fun to put together a large kitchen jar of my favorite kitchen items to give to my friend for her upcoming wedding!
Years ago I got a gift in one of these big clear jars and I loved it! After you remove all the items from it, the jar is perfect for organization in your pantry or even on your kitchen counter to hold popcorn or something else esthetically cute! I also love that this gift is perfect for anyone to personalize to their budget! If you have a smaller budget you can get a smaller jar and then add less items. If you have a larger budget, I love the idea of tying some of the items on a ribbon around the jar. Items like the measuring cups and spoons! You could also add a gift car to their favorite store!
Here’s what I put in the gift jar:
- Apron
- Placemats
- Scrub Daddy
- Sink Soap Dispenser and Scrub Daddy Holder
- Stainless Steel Measuring Cups
- Stainless Steel Measuring Spoons
- Your Favorite Dish Soap
- Room Refresher
- Coasters
- Small Green Plant
To do my shopping I headed to Target – Target is a great one stop shop for me. I can generally find everything I need there! I also got my large clear jar there! They had a few options, but the others were a bit smaller. So, I went with this one!
Now for the fun!
#1 – APRON
Something about getting married, all of sudden made me want to be more domestic! And when I’m baking I love to put on my apron ! So, that’s the first thing I put in the jar! I love getting my aprons from places like Target, WalMart or Amazon!
#2 – PLACEMATS
I try really hard to have sit down dinner a handful of times each week. I’ve for sure found this to be harder, as my kids have become older and busier. But, when my husband I were first married and when the kids were younger, I always set a table! Nothing makes a table look more put together then placemats! So, I put a set of 4 placemats in the jar! I also love the texture this gives the gift through the glass of the jar!
#3 – SPONGE
It’s cute, easily fits and every house hold needs one!
#4 – DISH SOAP DISPENSER AND/OR SPONGE HOLDER
I have a friend that loves her dish soap dispenser and sponge holder and so when I was shopping and came across this one, I went for it! I have always just had a sponge holder, but I think I’m going to upgrade to the dispenser & sponge holder in one! I have to have a spot to put my Scrub Daddy! I can’t handle having it just sit in the bottom of the sink!
#5 & #6 – STAINLESS STEEL MEASURING CUPS & SPOONS
I literally went through a set every year or two of measuring cups and spoons for the majority of the last 15 years. The plastic that ones would stain, fall on the ground and crack, get used for other projects, etc. Before I knew it I would be down to only one or two of cups and I’d be missing the 1/2 cup and cup, which I used the most. I finally invested in a nice set of Stainless Steel Measuring Cups & Spoons and they’ve been around for the last 4 years! They clean awesome and don’t break if they fall on the ground! Plus, they are better looking, which is always a plus!
#7 DISH SOAP
I am very particular about my dish soap, so I grabbed her some of my favorite Dish Soap to add to the gift! I just think it’s a fun addition to the jar too! You could get any brand that you want, but I suggest getting a tall narrow bottle to add different shapes and dimension to your contents.
#8 ROOM REFRESHER
I am not lying, I have literally had 5 friends start buying some sort of roof refresher after coming to my house and asking why my house smells so good! I don’t know how people live without it. Literally every morning, after I get my kiddos off to school, I use it! I clean up breakfast, clean up our living area, fluff the pillows and then spray the whole main area of my house with the room refresher! It makes me feel like I just scrubbed my entire house clean, which leaves me in a great mood to start my day!
#9 COASTERS
I love having coasters all over my house! I think they’re a fun item to decorate with and also they are functional. I couple pieces of my furniture in my house that are painted, so soda cans and other drinks could easily ruin them if they got spilled on and it wasn’t cleaned up quickly! You can get them in all colors, patterns and textures! I love this, this and this one! Think stripes, wood, metal and fun tile patterns!
#10 PLANT
I am a big believer in having greenery in EVERY room! So, to finish off the jar I added a cute little green plant to it! She could decorate with it on her counters, on a shelf or part of a centerpiece on her island!
I really love this gift and can’t wait to give it to her! I hope you love it too! Have a great day friends!

It’s crazy that December is half over! I was super on top of my gift shopping and planning of our holiday traditions. But, I kinda let my neighbor gifts fall through the cracks! So, this weekend I finally put them together! I knew I wanted to come up with a practical gift idea for some of my close girlfriends! My kids teachers loved their back to school teacher gift idea this year, where I gifted them some Chinet® disposable tableware! So, I decided to play on that and put together a practical Christmas neighbor gift idea, where I also gifted them Chinet® disposable tableware!
I put together a super simple printable gift tag that you can download and use with your gift idea too! You’ll find the download below!
As for my party planning and many family get togethers – I generally turn to my Chinet® Classic White™ dinner plates! I love getting together with friends, but honestly, we’re so busy that it just doesn’t happen as often as I want. So, the holidays are the perfect excuse to not let anything else get in my way! The Chinet® brand makes serving and cleanup quick and easy, so I’m able to spend more time with my family and friends and not prepping and cleaning up!

Now, back to my girlfriend gift! To start, gather the disposable tableware that you want to use! If you follow my blog, you’ll know that I’m Chinet® obsessed and I pretty much don’t use anything different!
For these gifts I put together I gathered Chinet® Cut Crystal® dinner plates, Chinet® Classic White™ dinner napkins and Chinet® Cut Crystal® Plastic Cups!
I then stacked the smaller items top of the Chinet® Cut Crystal® dinner plates!
Next, I gathered the rest of the supplies I needed. The gift tag, distress ink, twine, glue tabs and a bow!
You an download the gift tag here or by clicking the image below:
To give that gift tag a finished look I went ahead and took some distress ink to the edges.
Then I used some glue tabs to connect the gift tag to the burlap bow!
Use the twine to connect all your Chinet® Disposable Tableware. If needed, feel free to tape the twine on the back of the plates to secure it. Then place the bow with the gift tag onto of the twine, where it is tied into a knot.
Now, you’re ready for delivery! Woohoo!
Your girlfriends and neighbors are gonna LOOOOOOOOVVVEEE you for this! Promise!!

I’ve lived in my neighborhood for 2 1/2 years now! It’s been such a great neighborhood, but sadly, some of my neighbors have been getting the ‘2 year itch’ and are choosing to move on. We’ve had a handful of new neighbors over the last few weeks and I’ve wanted to welcome them. But, this is such a busy time of year and I haven’t had a lot of extra time! So, I turned to my recipe for Perfect Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies and added a simple Welcome New Neighbor Printable! It was simple, fast and I got good neighbor points! Woohoo!
To make it look a little nicer, I put the cookies on my favorite Chinet® Cut Crystal® plates! They make everything look a little nicer!
I just stocked up on all my Chinet® products at Walmart for the upcoming Holidays! I’m obsessed with the Chinet® Classic White™ and Chinet® Cut Crystal® disposable tableware for all my parties and get-togethers! And now that I have a few new neighbors I can’t wait to have them over for a dinner!
All Chinet® Classic White™ products will be on sale and found easily on end caps in Walmart from November 1-30, 2016, and all Chinet® Cut Crystal® products will be on sale and found easily on end caps at Walmart from December 1-31, 2016.
You guys, if you haven’t stocked up on your Chinet® products then you better run! The Chinet® brand not only offers super durable and good-looking products, but it’s disposable. Which means no clean up for you as a host and leaves you more time to visit with your guests! Plus, they have everything you need from, plates, cups, cutler, napkins and now, stemless wine glasses.
First up, let me share the Perfect Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies recipe with you!
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup Butter
2 cups Sugar
1/2 cup Milk
4 tablespoons Cocoa
1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
3 cups Instant Oats
2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
DIRECTIONS:
Add the butter, sugar, milk and cocoa to medium pot. Place on medium heat.
Stir to combine and allow to come to a boil.
While it’s working up to a boil, measure your peanut butter and instant oats.
Once the sauce has come to a rolling full boil, time boil for 1 minute and 15 seconds. This is the secret to the perfect no bake cookie! If it boils too long, then the cookies will be too dry and they will fall apart to easy! If it doesn’t boil long enough, then the cookies are too soft!
Once the sauce has boiled for 1 minute and 15 seconds, remove from the heat.
Add the peanut butter and stir. Then add the oats in and stir. Lastly, add in the vanilla and stir.
Get a big sheet of wax paper on your counter top and drop the cookie mixture by the tablespoon onto it. I love to use a a medium cookie scoop!
Allow to set for at least 60 minutes before enjoying!
Now for the printable! Below you’ll find the download link for the Welcome New Neighbor Tag!
The bottom of the tag will be blank where you can write in your own custom notes for your new neighbor! If you prefer to have the texted printed on the tag, just download the file and then import it into an editing program or website and you can add that text onto the file!

ABCMouse.com

We are big fans of abcmouse.com! In fact I wrote an entire post about ABC Mouse way back in 2012! Which now as I’m typing this make more realize that article could probably use some updating, because their site has tons of updates and new features! All 3 of my kids have spent hours and hours having fun and learning from all their educational gifts!
The cool part of ABC Mouse is that it tracks your kids progress and grows with them! They can follow the Learning Path which will take them through a variation of fun lessons on their level. Or, they can play explore other areas of the program that allows them to choose their activity. This ensures that your kids won’t get bored and stay having fun, while learning all at the same time!
Gift a year membership to your kids this Christmas! They generally have some great deals around the holiday too! Check them out here – abcmouse.com!
Magformers
One of the best toys I’ve invested in are Magformers! We’ve invested a lot of money into building up a big set, but guess what? There’s a knock-off brand that looks identical and is 1/2 the price!
So here are are the original Magformers!
And here are the Amosting Magnetic Building Tiles!
Snap Circuits:
My nephews have this Snap Circuits set and my boys have LOVED playing with it! They’ve created some way cool stuff with the help of the different project cards that come with it – like a radio and a burglar alarm! It helps them learn about electronics and the science of power!
Learning Resources – Super Magnet Lab
We got this fun magnet set for our boys last year and they’ve had such a blast with it! It comes with enough stuff for multiple kids to play with and helps teach them about magnetic force!
Little Passports
Give the gift of adventure with Little Passports this holiday season! Little Passports is a BLAST! With Little Passports you choose a subscription based on your childs age. Then each month they get a package that helps them explore something new!
For example, my boys are 6 and 8. So, they subscribe to the World Explorers. Each month they get a package with activities that help them explore a new Country! It really is a blast!
Check out the subscriptions available for your kid here – Little Passports!
Magic School Bus – Microscope Lab
There are actually TONS of these awesome Magic School bus kits! My boys loved this Microscope Lab Kit one where they got to look at slides with specimens using a microscope. They get to record their observations in the fun Date Book that comes with it too. Be sure and check out the other kits:

Robotic Arm
Our neighbor has gotten her son a couple of these robotic kits and he loves them! My kids love learning to control them and they’ve each asked for one for Christmas! You get to built them from scratch and then learn how to control them to do things that you want them to do! He has even taught his robotic arm to write! This set has great reviews, so I think I’m going to get my oldest it!
Laser Maze
We learned about this fun game/activity, Laser Maze, a few years ago when they had it on display at a local learning toy store! We grabbed it thinking the kids would love it, but honestly me and my husband loved it more! haha! But, now that the boys are getting older, they’ve used it plenty!
Zoob Builder Toys
We learned about the Zoob Builderz a few years ago from my friend Lisa! I got them for my boys that Christmas and they’re still a regular played with toy at our house! You can built the most cool stuff with them! They have normal Zoobs or Zoob Jr. for younger kids!
I hope this gave you some great ideas for your little learners! If you have any great suggestions of toys your kids have loved, please leave me a comment! I’d love to check them out!
Happy Holidays!

Can you believe we only have about a month left of summer vacation? This summer has been a busy and good one, but as usual about mid July I feel like my whole family starts to crave a little routine again! So, this week I took a few minutes to start doing some Back to School planning and prepping! I decided to get my kids Back to School Teacher Gifts together and ready! How fun did these turn out? I grew up with a mom that was an elementary school teacher (and is now a principal) and know how crazy busy she is the entire first week of school is! So, I figured just about any teacher would love to not have to worry about dishes the first week of school!
To put together the gifts I grabbed my main go-to disposable tableware: Chinet® Classic White™ plates!
Then using some ribbon I attached some Chinet® Cut Crystal® cups and cutlery! You could also attach napkins if you wanted!
Next up, I created this cute printable that you can attach if you want!
Fun, right? Just download the printable below and attach it to the front however you’d like! You could thread it on with the ribbon or just tape it on like I did!
The Chinet® brand has been my go-to for disposable tableware for a long time and I know that it will continue to be! Chinet is all about bringing families together with their many disposable tableware options. Their full collection includes: 9 1/2″ square dinner plate, 10 3/8″ round dinner plate, 6 3/8″ square dessert plate, 6 3/4″ appetizer or dessert plate, round all occasion plate, platter, compartment plate, 20 oz. salad/side dish, 16 oz. bowl, occasion napkin, dinner napkin, beverage napkin and table cover. They really do have everything that you could need for every day use and parties!
The main thing I keep stocked in my house are the Chinet® Classic White™ plates! We got through them like crazy and I love that they are thick and sturdy, so I don’t have to worry about my kids spilling their food off them like some of the other flimsy brands.
We are big final of Chinet® disposable tableware! Click HERE to find a store near you to shop all Chinet® products.
