I have an obsession with clocks. I see one that I love and I HAVE to buy it. I don’t have enough space for all of these clocks, so I came up with this idea to make a clock collage wall. In my house I usually have a clock on the wall for decoration purposes only…the battery is usually dead until my sister comes over and changes it for me because it drives her crazy! For this clock collage wall, I put batteries and set the time on each one of them, so when you come over to visit me, you will definitely know what time it is!

These are the steps when designing a clock collage wall:

1. You will need to start by collecting clocks of all shapes and sizes. You need a good mix of small, medium and large clocks to give it the right look. In the last picture below, I added the details on where I bought each one of these clocks and they were all inexpensive.

2. Then, measure the space on the wall that you be working with. Measure it out on your floor and design the collage layout withing that space. Start with the largest clock in the center and put the other clocks around it. The key is to make each shape of clock different than the one it is next to.

3. Once you have mastered the perfect layout, decide on your color scheme. Paint the clocks so they aren’t next to the same color of clock. You want to make it look random, but it’s actually very thought out. I recommend that you only use one bright color within the collage.

4. Last but definitely not least, get a sexy handyman and have him hang them all up!! You are done…well, until the time changes again :).

Check out this picture below of some of the places that I shopped!!

What a great idea! My husband also loves clocks and I get excited when I find one I think he’ll especially like, but couldn’t figure out what to do with them all. Great way to display them artistically.
