We had a interesting St Patty’s day…not at all what I planned on but that’s life! The boys devoured their Lucky Charms for Breakfast, but we ran into some problems with dinner. I put our Corned Beef in the crock pot in the morning and was expecting it to be perfectly ready when we got home from church. Unfortunately when we got home from church I realized that our crock pot has a warm setting! So we had a nice lukewarm hardly cooked piece of meat 🙁 I pumped it to high and we ate dinner somewhere around 8:00 pm! Because we ate dinner so late I didn’t get a chance to make the Irish lemon pudding from The Baker Upstairs that I really wanted to try so we will make it for Family Home Evening treat tonight. I just wasn’t about to give my boys a treat right before putting them to bed!

Not all was lost though we did get something big and green on Saturday in our backyard!

I am so excited! It took 2.5 pallets of sod and at first it was just John and I laying it. I made it almost through one pallet into the project and was going to die! I was hauling the sod from the truck in the front to the backyard and my arms were dying. Then our neighbor Rick showed up and asked why he wasn’t invited to the party. He was a lifesaver! Between him and John they got it all laid! I really wanted to do something nice for him and since Sunday was St Patty’s I made a little tag to attach to some treats.

Just for fun I also changed the tag to read for teacher and friend too.

Check out how the boys dressed for church:

We all wore St Patrick’s Day socks with no other obvious green. The boys had so much fun tricking people into pinching them 🙂

Hope you all had a good lucky day!

We are looking for St. Patrick day tags. The tags would need to say “We are lucky to have you as our customer” Do you offer that?
    Thank you
