Looking for the perfect Father’s Day Gift from your little ones? This Father’s Day Gift Ideas roundup has lots of fun ideas that are affordable, easy and that the kids can help put together!
Father’s Day is coming soon friends! And one of my favorite traditions is to make my favorite Sour Cream Banana Bread and take it to the men in me and my kiddos lives that we love: my husband, Grandpa’s, neighbors, etc!
This recipe is beyond good and everyone loves it! It’s pretty much impossible to mess up too! My sister gave me this recipe years ago and it or my Banana Bars have been my go-to when I’m craving anything banana!
- 6 Tbsp Butter, softened
- ½ C. Brown Sugar
- ½ C. Sugar
- 3-4 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1 C Sour Cream
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 Eggs
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 ¼ C. Flour
- 1/2-1 C Walnuts (chopped)
Cream together the butter, brown sugar and sugar. If you’d prefer to, you can also replace the brown sugar and sugar with 1 tsp Stevia). Then add the bananas, sour cream, cinnamon and vanilla and mix together. Add the eggs and combine. In a separate bowl combine the salt, baking soda and flour. Mix together and then add to the banana bread mixture. Once combined, fold in the nuts! Don’t over mix!
Take the banana bread mixture and divide between two greased bread pans and bake for 50-60 minutes at 300 degrees! To make sure it’s cooked, insert a toothpick into the banana bread and make sure it comes out clean!
If you’re going to give the banana bread as a gift, I always love to package it a little special too! Even just by grabbing some simple Kraft Paper, folding it around the Banana Bread and then adding a little ribbon or string makes all the difference in the world!
As a kid, I got tired of giving my Dad ties and tools ever Fathers day! And now the thought of having my kiddos do the same just isn’t fun! But, an iTunes gift card is right up his techie alley! I honestly don’t know anybody (dad, mom, kid, Grandpa, etc) that wouldn’t love an iTunes gift card for that matter!
And today I’ve got a fun free printable that you can use as the card! They print 2 to a sheet, so you can give one to Dad and one for Grandpa! Woohoo!
Once it loads, just right click and save the PDF!

Have a great weekend!
My boys have recently discovered Mad Libs. Our road trips are so much more fun and funny! Little boys can’t help but fill all the lines in with potty talk! They seriously cannot get enough. I decided for Johns Fathers Day card this year I would create a Mad Lib for the boys to each fill out separately for him. I think it will be so fun to have John open them all and see how each story ends up differently depending on the boy it is from. I wanted to share it with you too!

This last weekend we headed to CA for a celebration of life for my husbands Grandfather, John Henderson. He was an amazing man and it was such a treat to get together with all so many people who loved him. To make the menu (which was delish!) easy for the guests I made tags for all of the food choices. The banana split bar was the kids favorite of course!
Grandpa was a major golf enthusiast so the tags have a masculine golf feel to them! You can download the tags as a blank file or with the golf embellishments.
Check out some of these other cute ideas they came up with! They used his golf cart as the ice station! They also filled one of his golf bags with a trash bag and a bunch of ice and used it as a cooler for the drinks!
