Last year, for the 4th of July, my sister-in-law made these amazing 4th of July S’mores Bars and they were a hit! They are seriously SOOO tasty you guys! So, this year I decided to make a big batch for our BBQ, plus bring each of the families a plate of this tasty goodness to take home!!
So, today I’m sharing the recipe, plus a cute printable that you can attach to the treat! And of course I’m using my Chinet® Classic White™ plates and napkins to get this tasty treat to the party! We’ll be traveling an hour to my in-laws and the Chinet® products are high quality, sturdy and my go-to disposable tableware, plus then it’s nice that I have no cleanup after the BBQ! The Chinet® brand celebrates coming together as friends or family to celebrate all of life’s moments – like Independence Day this weekend!

These are amazing. I make them every summer. I just wish your website was more user friendly. Why not give the option to print a recipe? I get you probably make money from ads, but it makes me less likely to want to come back to your site for other recipes in the future.

I made these last year and I’m doing them again this 4th! They were a HUGE hit.

I am so glad!! They’re a favorite in our home too!

I am thankful I read Robyn’s review/suggestions before I made mine this year. Using parchment paper must be the key. And I added additional graham crackers (but still need more as we couldn’t taste them) and cut back on the chocolate. These were still “gooey” the evening that I made them, but by the next day they were more firm and set up better, so I suggest making them the day before you plan to serve them.

These are amazing! Chewy, delicious goodness. Very naughty!
Thank you!

This dessert is really good, not overly sweet as one might think. Everyone loved them! Use PARCHMENT paper, it is the best non stick item in the kitchen!!! Layer ingredients with measurements to your liking, the crust and marshmallow hold it all together. I used chocolate chips instead of bars to keep it simple and delicious. When they came out of the oven I pressed M&M’s down slightly with a fork to make sure they didn’t fall off while cutting in to bars. I melted remaining chocolate chips (no milk) in microwave, put in a zip lock bag, cut end and drizzled all over. Let it set over night and because my house was warm I popped in the fridge so chocolate would harden up. It’s also a faster way if you can’t do overnight.

I am confused. Do you add REGULAR milk to melt the chocolate? It doesn’t have milk on ingredients list.

Made these last night. This morning I am having the most stressful time trying to peel the tinfoil off. Stopped mid way to write this review. Not to mention they now look like a mess. Do not recommend.

Made these for a fourth of July cookout. They were a hit but I had some trouble. When I tried cutting the bars the stuck to the foil and was seriously close to throwing them all away. But I flipped the whole thing upside down. Peeled off in three sections. Also not enough Graham crackers I couldn’t taste them at all and I used about half of the amount of m&ms so they wouldn’t be overwhelming. Also the drizzle on top is unnecessary. The bars are chocolatey enough and it melted everywhere. Lastly I bought my oreos at bjs so it wasnt a whole package. (I planned on making them again a few days later.) It 4 sleeves you want to use.
With my adjustments i will be making these again.

I’m attempting to find a way to print this recipe, and do not see “print” ANYWHERE.

Hint: Use the “NON-STICK” foil.

These are delicious! However, I am so happy that I read the comments prior to making them because I had to make a few changes. Even with the changes, things were not perfect and I’ll need to make additional modifications if I make them again. First off, do not use foil.I used foil and I sprayed it quite heavily, but what I ended up with was a greasy, crumbly crust and bits of foil stuck in the bars. I suggest parchment paper instead. Further, I will pre-bake the crust just slightly to create a firmer foundation prior to pouring the condensed milk and adding the other ingredients. Next, I would suggest less condensed milk as it did contribute to more of a 4th of a July “pile” instead of a “bar.” Now for the measurements– the author does mean 4 oz bars, NOT 8 oz bars. Even with the 4 oz bars, 12 oz total was a little too much. I would suggest 6-8 oz broken into the body of the bar. There’s A LOT of chocolate in these bars and even for the biggest chocolate lover, it’s a little overwhelming. I’d increase the graham crackers to 5 sheets (10 squares) to make it more of a S’more bar and less of a double-chocolate bar. The amount of marshmallows was spot on. The M&M’s… good grief. My 2 cups did not look like the 2 cups in the picture. 2 cups of M&Ms on a 9×13 pan are right next to each other with no spacing. I’d cut it down to 1-1.5 cups if you’re using regular M&Ms. (They tend to settle into the measuring cup, making a very densely-packed 2 cups.) The chocolate drizzle was also a little overwhelming and I am finding in this 95* weather, it’s not setting up with the milk mixed in. Next time I’ll cut down the amount (again, 4 melted oz of chocolate mixed with 3 tablespoons of milk on a 9×13 pan is not a drizzle– it’s a covering!) to about 2-3 oz of chocolate and I’ll use something that firms up when room temperature to thin it out– perhaps coconut oil? I know this comment if full of criticism, so I will repeat myself: these bars are delicious. They’re perfect in theory for a 4th of July cookout, but not in practice.

Thank you for all the tips. Your suggestions worked well.

So 1/2 cup is 1 stick but recipe says 1 cube. How much are you considering a cube? These didn’t seem to set up very well. Very disappointed

Wow, worst experience I’ve ever had making anything from Pinterest and I’ve made almost everything from it. Really wish I had read the comments. IF YOU USE FOIL, make sure you spray it with pam!! It took me an hour to peel off the foil and guess what, I made two batches!!? I had to cut off half of the crust because I couldn’t get the foil off and it made a HUGE MESS!! Also, there aren’t any 8 oz chocolate bars, only 4 oz. you should REALLY UPDATE your recipe!!
Emily
Hi, I’m planning to make these for tomorrow. Are the measurements for the chocolate bars off? Like a previous poster, I haven’t found 8oz bars. In the ingredients you say 3 – 8oz bars in the recipe, you say “break up the last 4oz chocolate bar”. Which is it? Also, can you use milk chocolate Hershey bars for this?
thanks!!
Aubrey
Are the m&ms peanut? Or regular? I am convinced they are peanut, but my mom thinks otherwise.
Lindsey
Just to clarify- (3)8-ounce chocolate bars, is this correct? I haven’t been able to find a 8 ounce chocolate bar??
Raelyn
Is it really an entire package of Oreos? Or just one sleeve?
Elise
I love the tin foil trick but I’d suggest to lightly spray the foil with Pam, because the treats will still stick to the foil! You’ll be pulling pieces of foil off your treats if you don’t. 🙁
Melissa K
Forgive me if this is a stupid question but on the graham cracker squares are you counting the individual pieces or the whole cracker as one? One graham cracker has 4 separate little rectangles right? So is this 1 or 4 ? 🙂
Thanks!
Pam Dana
Hey Melissa! Great question – I should go clarify in the post. It means actually squares, so that is like 1/2 of a bar of the graham crackers! Does that make more sense? Really you just need to make sure you pan gets a good coverage of graham crackers, so feel free to add / remove from my instructions! Good luck!
Nancy
These are perfect for my daughter’s wedding anniversary annual bbq. Thanks.
Pam Dana
Yay! Hope you love them! My family sure does!
