This fun Elf on the Shelf Milk & Cookies setup is a great way to greet your Elf on the Shelf each year! Make these cook Elf Straw Toppers and Elf Milk Bottles easily with your Cricut machine to add to the fun!
Hey friends! Today I’m sharing a detailed tutorial on how I made these fun Elf Straw Toppers and Elf Milk Bottles that went with my Elf Cookie Station that I shared a couple weeks ago! In that post I mainly focused on the backdrop creation and setup! I made all the backdrop elements with my Cricut Maker and I am so happy with how it all turned out!
But, I’m not going to lie, I really love how these little straw toppers turned out! They’re just so freaking adorable! So, let’s get into that tutorial!
ELF ON THE SHELF STRAW TOPPERS
Items need to make Elf Straw Toppers:
- Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air 2
- Standard Mat
- Kraft Board
- Premium Vinyl – in red, green and white
- Paper Straws
- Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
- Elf Straw Topper Design Space File
Directions to make Elf Straw Toppers:
Pull up the Elf Straw Topper & Elf Milk Bottles Design Space File!
This design space file also has the file for the Elf Bake Shop sign! I included the tutorial on how I made the sign in the Elf Cookie Station post! So, if you’re interested in learning about that, then head over there!
For this tutorial, we are going to need to hide that Elf Bake Shop layer. It’s currently grouped together, so just go ahead and click on the word Elf and then head over to the side bar and hide the group with the words Elf Bake Shop.
If needed, resize the Elf Milk labels. The straw toppers are currently sized perfect for straws! Once everything is ready, hit ‘MAKE IT’ in the top right hand corner!
It should send everything over to 4 different cut mats. Mat 1, 3 and 4 are for Vinyl and Mat 2 will be the Kraft Board. Make sure that prior to loading the mat that the material is set to the right thing.
Once everything is cut, then go ahead and weed the vinyl. Be careful with the eyes! Once they’re weeded, add transfer tape to the design!
Then just eyeball it and place the vinyl on top of the kraft board!
Then just attach them to the top of your paper straws with a small dot of hot glue!
And viola! They’re done!
I think they turned out super fun and my kids are already excited to greet our Elf, Jasper with a cookie party!
Now onto the Elf on the Shelf Milk Bottles!
ELF ON THE SHELF MILK BOTTLES
This is super simple to do! After you cut the vinyl, just weed the words and add transfer tape to them! Then place the words on the bottles like you want!
Super fun, right?!?
