I can’t believe a new year is already upon us! Being that we have younger kids, we keep things pretty kid-friendly around here on New Years. We have confetti poppers, blowers and of course popcorn and treats! This year I found myself wanting to put a little more effort into the decorations, because the kids are getting old enough to appreciate it and get excited about it! Yesterday I put together these fun New Years Popcorn and Treat Boxes and I’m really excited about how they turned out!
The boxes are a breeze to make! It maybe took me 30 minutes from start to finish to make a dozen of them! Best part is you only need a few supplies too!
NEW YEARS POPCORN AND TREAT BOXES
Supplies Needed:
- Cardstock – I used black, silver glitter and gold glitter.
- Gold Cricut Pen
- Scoring Stylus
- Cricut Machine – Explore or Maker
- Standard Mat (Green)
- Hot Glue Gun / Glue or Glue Dots
- Treats & Popcorn (to fill them)
Directions:
Start by pulling up the Popcorn Treat Box file HERE!
If you’re making the popcorn boxes, then go ahead and just cut the file as it is.
If you’re going to be making the glitter treat boxes, then you’ll need to delete the text layer!
You can adjust the size of the box if needed too! If you want the treat box bigger, then you’ll need to use a 12×24 mat.
Hit ‘Make It’ and verify that it’s fitting on the mat properly and hit ‘Continue!’
Next, follow the promptings in designs space!
It will first have you load the Scoring Stylus into Clamp A. Then after it scores the box, it will prompt you to put the gold pen into clamp a. I like to use 1.0 Gold Pen.
Once you’ve cut all your popcorn and treat boxes then I like to start by making all the folds.
I like to use hot glue to assemble my boxes, but glue dots could work too!
And that’s it! Time it’s time to party!
If you love these, I’d LOVE YOU if you pinned the image below!
