This White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn is the perfect treat for Peanut Butter Cup lover!! Perfect for movie nights, parties, Christmas neighbor gifts and more!
You know when you have a recipe idea that you think will be good, but then you make it and it blows your mind?! That is what happened when I put this recipe together years ago! Since then it has become a family favorite and I’ve also taken it to parties and given containers of it out for Neighbor Gifts at Christmas (just make sure your neighbors aren’t allergic to peanut butter)!
I am not a huge fan of white chocolate, so I created this recipe using White Almond Bark. However, I’m sure it would work great with White Chocolate too!
PEANUT BUTTER CUP POPCORN
Ingredients Needed:
- 10 Cups of Popped Popcorn (1 packages popped)
- 6 Squares of White Chocolate Almond Bark
- 20 Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Directions:
Start by popping a package of popcorn – should be approx 10 cups of popped popcorn. Remove any un-popped kernels from the bowl of popcorn.
Next, unwrap about 20 Mini Peanut Butter Cups. Rough chop them up with a a knife.
Melt 6 cubes of Almond Bark in the microwave according to directions on the package. You may also use White Chocolate if preferred, but it will make it sweeter. I suggest maybe only using 5 squares of white chocolate.
Pour the White Almond Bark onto the popcorn. Use a large spoon to softly coat all the popcorn with the White Almond Bark.
When the Almond Bark or White Chocolate is mostly mixed in with the popcorn, add the crumbed Peanut Butter Cups and incorporate.
Spread the mixture onto a piece of parchment paper on a sheet pan and allow it to set before eating.
And then enjoy! This dessert is so delicious and perfect for a popcorn movie night, party, neighbor gift and more!
