Can you believe the holidays are upon us? It’s time to start thinking about gift ideas for the crafter in your life and I’ve got the ultimate Gift Guide for the Cricut Crafter filled with all the Cricut items that I use on the daily!
CRAFTING GIFT IDEAS
As an almost daily crafter, my #1 most used item is my Cricut machine and the items that go with it! So, naturally I had to put together a whole gift guide just about my favorite Cricut items!
CRICUT EXPLORE AIR 2 vs CRICUT MAKER
#1 – To start off the Gift Guide for the Cricut Crafter, we’ve gotta talk about the actual Cricut machines! I have two machines and both are great for different things! You need to make sure the Cricut crafter in your life has either the Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air 2. They far surpass the capabilities of any previous Cricut machine.
I’ll quickly go over the differences, but to learn more about the machines in detail, you can check out these posts:
My Favorite Things about the Explore Air 2 | All about the Cricut Maker
You can also read an in-depth comparison of the two machines in this post where I made an Elf Cookie Station last year! Now onto a quick review:
Cricut Explore Air 2 — The Cricut Explore Air 2 is a great machine with so many capabilities! It is perfect for the crafter that works with Vinyl, Iron On, cardstock, felt and bonded fabric. If you don’t plan on crafting with materials like fabric, wood, chipboard, etc. Then this machine would be great for you!
Cricut Maker — The Cricut Maker has an Adaptive Tool System in it that has a gear tool slot. That gear system (look at slot B in the below pic) allows new tools that the Explore Air 2 can’t utilize. That gear system gives the Maker tools the ability to cut with more pressure, more intricacy and many more products. The tools allow you to cut everything the Cricut Explore Air 2 can + unbonded fabric, bass & balsa wood + way more. And it has tools that allow you to score materials better, engrave, deboss, perforate, cut wavy and more! For a breakdown of the Maker tools, scroll down to #7 in this list.
CRICUT EASYPRESS 2
#2 – Next to my Cricut machines, my EasyPress 2’s are used the most in my craft room! Iron On is my favorite product to work with and the EasyPress 2’s make it so that all my projects turn out perfect!
The heat plate on the EasyPress is made of aluminum with a ceramic non-stick coating. The EasyPress 2 heat plate heats evenly and precisely using digital settings for both the temperature and time. You can see in the thermal image below that the heat variation on an iron is much higher than on the EasyPress. The EasyPress heats evenly all over the heat plate, making sure your designs get transferred perfect!
The EasyPress 2 currently come in 4 different sizes – 12″ x 10″, 9″ x 9″, 6″ x 7″ and the new EasyPress Mini! You can purchase all of them or the one that would work best for the type of projects you like to make! If you’re shopping for a loved one and you’re not sure what size to buy, I say go with the 9″ x 9″! It is universal and can pretty much get everything done!
Do I need the Cricut EasyPress Mat?
If you have an EasyPress, then you’ll most likely want an EasyPress Mat too. But, it is not required. You can also use a towel underneath your design to protect the surface you’re working on.
The reason you would want an EasyPress Mat is because it is a 1 sided mat that eliminates moisture and helps direct the heat from the EasyPress to your design transfer vs having the surface you’re working on absorb any of the hat. That way your design transfers quickly and flawlessly!
It comes in 3 sizes and you want your EasyPress Mat to be be larger than your EasyPress 2! That EasyPress Mat comes as an 8” x 10”, 12” x 12” and 20” x 16”!
CRICUT ACCESSORIES

When you go to create a new project, anything that has a green ‘A’ in the top left of the picture, means it’s party of Cricut Access. To create something from Cricut Access, go under Projects on the left side of Design Space. Then search whatever it is you’re looking to create.
The below screenshot shows just a snippet of what is offered when I searched Christmas!
Here is a small example of what they offer when I searched ‘Organization’ in Cricut Design Space.
CRICUT IRON ON and VINYL
#5 – The two products I use the most are Cricut Premium Removable Vinyl and Cricut Everyday Iron On!
CRICUT REMOVABLE VINYL
Cricut Premium Removable Vinyl is what I use for almost all my organizing projects! It’s also great for when I make stencils for signs. It is pretty much a dream product for any creative product!
Some of my favorite projects I’ve made with vinyl are: Easy DIY Menu Board, Paid Chore Chart, Vinyl Mom Tumblers, Fridge Organization Labels, Who Runs the World Sign and this 4th of July Sign!
CRICUT IRON ON
I’ve used Cricut Iron On to embellish make shirts, pajamas, blankets and more! Some of my favorite projects I’ve made with Iron On are this Birthday Shirt, Disneyland Shirts, Living My Best Life Shirt, Dylan’s Rockstar Costume and these DIY Funny Kids Socks!
INFUSIBLE INK
#6 – One of my new favorite products is Infusible Ink! This new product from Cricut is innovative and going to be a big game changer for Cricut crafters that love using Iron On!
Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets are ink transfer sheets, that when paired with some heat and a Cricut Infusible Ink Blanks creates stunning, vibrant, professional looking projects!
When heat is applied to Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets the ink transfers from the sheet directly Into the fabric of the Infusible Ink Blank. The ink becomes part of the fabric!! Purchase Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets, Pens and Blanks HERE

To see some examples of projects I’ve used the Cricut Pens on, check out New Years Popcorn Boxes, Christmas Neighbor Gift, Paid Chore Chart and Alphabet Learning Cards.
CRICUT BRIGHTPAD
#9 – The Cricut BrightPad is the perfect companion when weeding intricate Vinyl and Iron On projects! My kids also love to use it for tracing projects!
One of the hardest parts of weeding Vinyl and Iron On is seeing the lines and making sure that you’re weeding the correct areas of your design. When you place your cut design on top of the lit BrightPad, those lines show immediately and you’ll find weeding is MUCH MUCH easier!
It’s especially helpful when weeding any type of Glitter Vinyl and Iron On! Look at how the lines just pop when on the BrightPad!
CRICUT STORAGE CASES
#10 – These Cricut Storage Cases are perfect for crafters that like to craft on the go or are low on storage space. Cricut has designed some amazing storage cases and carrying cases for your Cricut machines and EasyPress’s!
All my EasyPress 2’s are stored in their carrying cases and then put in my craft closet! They stack on each other so great and I know they’re protected and won’t break when moved!
My machines generally stay out on my desk, because I use them so much. But, before I had my craft room, I stored mine in this Storage Case! The protective padding will ensure your machine doesn’t break when stored or moved.
